This is a picture of the sunset on the side of the East side of the island that my grandparents lived. It is a very familiar view. One of the many treasures of the island is watching the sunset while hoping to real in a big fish.

This is a picture of my papa, nanny, and aunt Angie sharing a meal on the front porch of the house on the island. Right behind this porch is the Gulf of Mexico. My family spent a lot of time on this porch because of the beautiful scenery. My family loved to share food and talk with each other. This represents something I did so many times while I was on the island. We always sat down together for every meal, and I remember spending so much time on that front porch.

This is a picture of myself after I picked a head of broccoli from the garden. My nanny and papa had an enormous garden that they got most of their produce from. I remember looking forward to helping pick the ripe vegetables, and I have always hoped I could carry on the tradition of having such an abundant garden.
